Polaris RZR Boxes Out Pro Turbos without a Turbo to the Podium

Rockville, IN (11/02/2019) Polaris RZR pilot, John Barnes completed a successful year this past Saturday. Throughout 2019, the team put in several podiums and wins over the Midwest/Eastern United States. Barnes brought out different RZR models to show Polaris's "Terrain Dominance” and “Think Outside” off road mentality.

Barnes sure knows how to build suspense and get people talking. For the final event of the year, he blew the dust off his Polaris RZR S 1000 naturally aspirated RZR. Barnes commented, "We decided to come out with a startling different car this weekend. I knew that we had a great woods machine, and we put it to work.” Nathaniel Woodard was the man in shotgun for the weekend.

There were over 20 Pro Turbo entries on the cool November day. Barnes was off to a mid-pack start. He focused on good line choice in the woods then holding the RZR wide-open in the straight areas to make it into the top five.

Woodard (co-pilot) added, "We did get passed up a couple times with the turbos in the fields. But once we got back in the woods, we were able to hit our marks and get back in front." Barnes ran in the top 5 for laps 1 and 2. He worked his way up to 3rd and finally 2nd at the end.

Barnes was able to complete the event with a second-place podium finish beating all of the competitor brands and over 20 Pro Turbo machines. It was a strong weekend finish for Polaris with 1st and 2nd finishes. Models represented were the Polaris RZR XP Turbo and the Polaris RZR S 1000 respectively.

"It feels so awesome to complete a strong podium with the best side by side brand in the industry. The last race of the season makes it that much sweeter going into the winter."

Barnes will return in March of 2020 to premier the brand new Polaris RZR Pro XP in East Coast Racing.

The team wants to thank all the sponsors for 2019 providing the team the best components in the industry.
