Masontown, WV (September 23, 2017) With the afternoon ATV pro race winding down and dust boiling up into the sky, it was becoming more and more evident that the Holeshot was going to be a key factor at Round 4 of the GNCC UTV series. Yokley knowing the importance of the start seemed unusually relaxed about whole situation as it drew near. “I worked with Millennium technologies which factored to my confidence. They make a great running and reliable engine outfitted with CP Carrillo components. The lightweight Ballistic battery also guarantees an immediate starting so I feel comfortable each time I roll to the line aboard my RZR XP 1000 for the start.”

The time finally came when the course marshal, Ricky Towry, waved the flag and instructed everyone to shut their engines down. The 10 second warning was given, and the race was off. Yokley Racing/ Factory Polaris grabbed the Holeshot and went into the woods in the lead. It appeared everything was going perfectly as planned for the next 3 laps. “I just drove the car super conservative in the rocks knowing that the dust had put a cushion between me and the rest of the pack so there was no reason to break the car with a lead like that on a track that could end your day in a hurry,” said Yokley. Like always, the Elka suspension and RT Pro suspension components handled the terrain without a problem along with the STI Roctanes and Tire Balls connecting to the ground and enduring the nasty terrain.

A wheel failure which hadn’t been experienced before set the team back forcing Yokley to slow way down and focus solely on the overall picture by limping the car to the finish line to salvage points which turned out for the best. Even though the Podium would have been a great way to come back from summer break, the team still had success advancing from 4th to 3rd in the overall points chase. Yokley Racing would like to thank all of the fine sponsors who make everything possible, and also congratulate Kevin Tranthem and Polaris on the Overall victory this weekend.
